Welcome

Good evening everyone,
First of all, I have to welcome you all to my blogg about server projects.

Now to the presentation:

My name is Stephan Ljungros and I live in Sweden (in a location called Hägersten), I am 20 year old and I am male.
I got an  IT-Specification in Network Security and Networking education from my upper secondary school, (High School in USA). After around 1 month after the exam from the school I got a job in Nacka municipal as an Administrative Officer, which is an First Level Support. Quite interesting job, I have learned quite many different systems which I didn't knew about after my education. I started to test these systems out, such as Citrix. I also experienced a case system called "BMC", which I thought "This is a really great tool", but there were no Try Trial - so I had to search around for something else, and I found a PHP/Mysql Case system, HESK, which I could use when I am done with my virtual machines for rental.
Now enough with all these system and continue about my history - I still work as a administrative Officer, but I have gotten myself twisted yet great idea to create my own company, though that idea got screwed because I wanted to create a Server Center, which require quite much money, and I just earn about 1900€.
So now I am here, still earning 1900€/month, but I am here to share my current knowledge about servers and networking, also information about security.

In this blogg I will state most of the basics about how to install a server and as well configure the server.

The following features/Roles will I go through how you do:

  • Install  Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Introduction of Windows Servers
  • Install and configure ADDS (Active Directory Domain Services)
  • Install and configure DNS Server (Domain Name Service)
  • Install and configure DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
  • Install and configure File Services
  • Install and configure WDS(Windows Deployment Services)
  • Install and configure Hyper-V ( Virtual machine)
I will go through Unix (Ubuntu) - I know that Ubuntu isn't the best, but that's the one I  have mostly used :)
In Ubuntu I will go through the following features:
  • Install and configure DHCP
  • Install and configure DNS
  • Install and configure File service (FTP)
  • Install and configure VMvare (Virtual machine)
Later when I have received the "new" servers I will go through how to setup a simple network with Windows Servers and setting up clients to the Servers.

This is all I can come up with right now, but I will of course make additional tutorials if requested.

I hope you see forward to read/watch these tutorials.
